The Unbiblical Noah

What’s wrong with the movie Noah starring Russell Crowe?

Noah’s son Ham went searching for a wife afraid that he would be surviving alone.  The following passages show Noah’s sons are all married by the time of the flood.  Genesis 6:17-18 reads “As for me, I am going to bring floodwaters upon the earth to destroy from under the heavens all flesh that has the breath of life.  Everything on the earth will perish.  And I am establishing my covenant with you, and you must go into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you”. Again Genesis 7:7 says “So Noah, along with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives, went into the ark ahead of the floodwaters”.

There were giants in the land but those were children of Angels with humans not walking rocks.  “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days and afterward. During that time the sons of the true God continued to have relations with the daughters of men, and these bore sons to them. They were the mighty ones of old times, the men of fame.” (Genesis 6:4)

Noah did not need help from the giant walking rocks in making the ark.  God himself gave Noah instructions in building the ark.  “Make for yourself an ark from resinous wood.  You will make compartments in the ark and cover it with tar inside and outside.   This is how you will make it: The ark should be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high.  You will make a window for light for the ark, one cubit from the top. You should put the entrance of the ark in its side and make it with a lower deck, a second deck, and a third deck.” (Genesis 6:14)   Noah build the ark himself exactly the way it was commanded.  “And Noah did according to all that God had commanded him. He did just so.” (Genesis 6:22)

In the movie Noah was going to kill his twin grandchildren to comply with God’s plan.  It doesn’t make sense that God would save two of every living creatures to survive the flood and yet want Noah’s entire family to die after the flood.  This would eventually leave the earth for just the animals.  Genesis 7:1 says “After that Jehovah said to Noah: “Go into the ark, you and all your household, because you are the one I have found to be righteous before me among this generation.”  It was God’s plan to save Noah’s entire family because Noah was righteous.  In Genesis 9:1 it says “God went on to bless Noah and his sons and to say to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth.”

And why would the birthright be symbolized by snake skin when the serpent is what the Devil used to speak to Eve?

In Revelation 22:18, at the end of the Bible God warns “I am bearing witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll.”  Keep on the watch for what would happen to all involved in this movie production.
